Blauwe bessen Vijgen Havermout
Ingrediënten
- 40 gr havermout
- 250 ml soja melk
- 1/4 overvolle cup blauwe bessen
- 2 gedroogde vijgen
- flinke snuf kaneel
- 1 tsp lucuma
Extra toppings
- goji bessen
- moerbei bessen
- cacao nibs
- bijpollen
- bijpollen
Methode
Giet de havermout en de soja melk in een pannetje op hoog vuur en blijf roeren tot het begint te bubbelen. Zet het vuur lager en voeg de kaneel, deel van de blauwe bessen en 1 gedroogde vijg in stukjes toe. Roer de blauwe bessen kapot zodat het sap vrijkomt en blijf roeren tot een papje. Zet het vuur uit en roer de lucuma erdoor. Giet het geheel in een kom en top met de rest van de blauwe bessen, stukjes vijg en de extra toppings naar wens.

A delicious and simpel oatmeal recipe with lots of superfoodies, cause yes, I consider fruits like blueberries to be one of them. Due to the whole drama around superfoods here in the Netherlands these foods are put in a dark light, which I think is really unfortunate. What we sometimes forget is that the term 'superfoods' is nothing more than the term 'superfoods', which foods it stands for is actually not written in stone. Its definition is, because of this, not always interpreted correctly. Yes indeed, superfood are no miracle workers that solve every little health issue in a snap and the makers of these foods do not claim this either. Superfoods are just foods that are good for you, they contain large amounts of vitamins and minerals what make them good foods to incorporate in your diet or even make a good substitute for unhealthy foods. Most fruits and veggies can therefore also be considered superfoods, they are for a fact good for your health and you should be eating a large variety of these foods daily. The average person consumes too less fruits and veggies, stupid right?! I could not imagine a life without...
The most important thing of all is: Live a healthy life, cause a life long of good health is a life long of happiness.
Blueberry Fig Oats
Ingredients
- 40 gr oats
- 250 ml soy milk
- heaping 1/4 cup blueberries
- 2 dried figs
- big pinch cinnamon
- 1 tsp lucuma
Extra toppings
- mulberries
- goji berries
- cacao nibs
- bee pollen
- bee pollen
Method
Pour the milk and oats in a small pan on high heat and stir until it starts to bubble. Lower the heat and add the cinnamon, a part of the blueberries and 1 dried fig in pieces. Sqush the blueberries while stirring so that the juice comes out and keep stirring until your right consistency. Pour the oats in a bowl and top with the rest of the blueberries, fig and extra toppings.
